OWSI is implementing new water and sewer rates effective June 19, 2023.
The water rate increase approved by the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (WUTC) will increase 21.2%. The full rate structure can be viewed at https://ows-inc.com/rates/
A sewer rate increase of 7.5% is also going into effect. The wastewater plant has been operating 35 years since its last substantial operational upgrade. 35 years of wastewater has taken a toll on many of the plant processes. OWSI is working on a phased approach to revitalizing the plant and updating to modern technology where possible. You can view the sewer rate letter. OWSI has one of the lower sewer rates in the area at this time.
