Olympic Water & Sewer, Inc. (OWSI) has filed a request with the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) to revise its ancillary charges listed in the tariff. These changes are proposed to become effective June 22, 2026.

Reason for Proposed Changes
OWSI has not updated its ancillary charges in several years. These charges are intended to recover the actual cost of providing specific services such as service visits, reconnections, and administrative processing.

Due to increases in labor, equipment, fuel, and administrative costs, current charges no longer reflect the true cost of providing these services. The proposed updates are not intended to generate additional profit, but rather to ensure that the costs of these services are fairly recovered from the customers who directly require them, rather than being subsidized by the general rate base.

Proposed Changes to Ancillary Charges

Service Current Charge Proposed Charge
Disconnection Visit $20 $60
Reconnection (Normal Hours) $50 $85
